Heel droevig nieuws

We hebben vandaag Wietske in moeten laten slapen. Ze was  6 weken zwanger maar was sinds een paar dagen niet fit. Had geen koorts maar was sloom ze at wel, geen brokjes maar een boterham en pal voer at ze wel ook dronk ze goed. Vanmorgen mee naar de dierenarts. een echo gemaakt  en daar zagen ze een pup  maar ook een tumor bij de eierstok en baarmoeder. Ook was haar schildklier opgezet. Ze hebben Wietske een infuus gegeven en zouden een biopsie nemen van haar schildklier. Na een paar uurtjes belde de dierenarts met heel slecht nieuws. ze hadden nog een röntgenfoto gemaakt en haar longen  zaten ook vol met tumoren. De dierenartsen hadden dit op zo`n jonge leeftijd van zes jaar nog nooit meegemaakt. het hele team heeft overlegd wat mogelijk was. Als ze 8 weken drachtig was geweest dan hadden ze de pup heel misschien kunnen redden. maar dat zou al te zwaar voor Wietske zijn geweest.  Er was maar een optie haar uit haar lijden te verlossen. De pup zou deze 3 weken als Wietske in tussen tijd zou te overlijden ook niet overleven of anders misvormd zijn. We hebben de moeilijke beslissing maar genomen om Wieske maar in te laten slapen. We willen niet dat ze nog veel pijn zou hebben. Maar wie had dit vanmorgen verwacht. Dit echt helemaal niet. Een paar dagen  geleden liep ze nog vrolijk rond.

Goed nieuws Wietske krijgt pups rond half mei.  We waren erg benieuwd of Wietske zwanger was daarom hebben we afgelopen donderdag 30 maart een echo laten maken. We waren een beetje te vroeg voor de echo, daarom was er nog niet goed te zien hoeveel pups Wietske gaat krijgen. Blijft nog een mooie verrassing. Zie  hieronder wat beelden van de echo. je ziet het hartje kloppen van een puppy. Prachtig.

We hebben een erge lange wachtlijst voor een schnauzer pup. sommigen families staan al  meer dan anderhalf jaar op de wachtlijst. We hopen dat we nu deze keer een aantal daarvan blij kunnen maken met schnauzerpup. De eerste zeven families hebben we persoonlijk aangeschreven via de email. We hebben geen idee hoeveel pups Wietske krijgt daarom hebben we de rest van de mensen die op de wachtlijst staan nog niet aangeschreven. Hopelijk kunnen we die met een volgend nestje van Katja verblijden met een schnauzer  pup. We hadden verwacht dat Katja eerst loops zou gaan worden. Dat is inmiddels bijna 11 maanden geleden,. We wachten maar rustig af de natuur gaat (goddank) haar eigen gang.
