Wat is het weer een tijdje geleden dat ik nog eens iets van me heb laten horen, maar ik heb dan ook een erg gevuld leven, net als mijn baasjes.
Mijn dag ziet er meestal zo uit : Om een uur of 8 word ik gewekt door één van mijn baasjes en mag ik mijn bench uit. Ik heb er een bloedhekel als ze binnenkomen als ik nog lekker lig te pitten. Ik ben meestal nog doodmoe en spring dan ook snel in mijn zetel zodat ik nog wat verder kan slapen. Maar als mijn baasjes de deur uit moeten om te gaan werken dan moet ik eerst naar buiten voor mijn ochtendplasje. Vroeger maakte ik daar een spelletje van en stelde ik dat plasje nog wat uit en begon ik vrolijk in het rond te snuffelen. Mijn baasjes werden daar erg nerveus van en keken constant op dat ronde ding aan hun arm en zegden dan : Vooruit, flink pipi doen want ik moet gaan werken om centjes te verdienen zodat jij hier dat luxe leventje kan aanhouden. Die zin hoor ik wel vaak, maar ik versta er niks van. Waarom gaan ze toch altijd de deur uit terwijl het thuis zo gezellig is. Tegenwoordig ga ik naar buiten en doe snel die ochtendplas omdat ze toch niet met me willen spelen en ik dan lekker lui terug mijn zetel in kan. Vanuit mijn luie zetel kan ik de mensen zien passeren op straat. Ik bekijk ze met enig leedvermaak, dat zij al op pad zijn en ik nog lekker lig te pitten. Enkel als er ook een hond passeert dan krijg ik even een kortsluiting in mijn kop en kan ik niet snel genoeg buiten zijn. Het vrouwtje wordt er helemaal gek van want ik neem dan de snelst mogelijke weg naar de achterdeur en dat is dwars over de lederen zetel die alleen bedoeld is voor mijn baasjes. Zelf als iemand in die zetel zit spring ik er gewoon overheen. Mijn instinct zegt immers dat ik zo snel mogelijk buiten moet zijn. Als ik enkele uurtjes alleen thuis moet blijven en het is slechts weer, dan mag ik lekker in mijn zetel blijven liggen. Wel raar dat ze dan altijd de gordijnen aan de voorkant dichtdoen. Ik kan dan immers niet zien als er iemand passeert. Het vrouwtjes zegt dat ze dat doet zodat ik het kot niet afbreek als er niemand thuis is.
Na mijn ochtenddutje vertoef ik het liefst buiten. Lekker mijn hele territorium afsnuffelen en nog wat verder graven aan mijn put die ik aan het maken ben in het midden van het gazon. Ik hoorde van Bruno (mijn buurhond) dat zijn baasjes altijd de putten dichtgooien die hij graaft en dat gaat dan gepaard met heel wat commentaar, maar mijn baasjes vinden gelukkig dat het bij een hond hoort om eens lekker te graven.
Ik kan me makkelijk een hele dag bezighouden in de tuin. Onze tuin is afgemaakt met klimop tegen de inkijk van de buren maar dat is toch maar saai voor mij hoor. En dat klopt wel hoor, van dat zenuwachtige gedoe word ik zelf ook helemaal opgefokt.De baas blijft wel altijd kalm en legt gewoon een snoepje in mijn bench en gaat even zitten wachten. Ik weet dat ik hem niet gek kan krijgen en kruip dan maar snel mijn bench in.
Het vrouwtje heeft me de fotootjes laten zien van de puppies van Wietske. Wat zijn ze beeldig. Het doet me terug denken aan die warme periode bij Thieu en Jeanne. Wat was het daar fijn en wat heb ik veel van hen geleerd. Mijn baasjes zeggen altijd dat ik zo’n schatje ben omdat ik zo een goede basis heb gekregen. Ik begrijp niet wat ze daarmee bedoelen maar het woord schatje begrijp ik wel J
