Worth saying this site reads better than most paid newsletters I have tried, and a stop at quorly confirmed that comparison, the bar for free content is often lower than for paid but this site clears the paid bar consistently and that says something about the editorial approach behind the work being published here regularly.

  4. So — been on this thing for maybe four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me last week. I’m in the UK, generally bet football and racing, small stakes, for context.

    How I found it was honestly embarrassing — I never could work out what an each way return would be when the place terms changed. Basically I’d wing it and get a shock. These days I punch the numbers in first, every time, even the boring singles.

    The single bet calculator is the bit I open most — you put in your stake, the odds and it spits out profit and total return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, which is where I always lose track.     The thing that really changed how I bet was the geekier bits. The implied probability calculator and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is terrifying.     Not all sunshine though. The layout looks pretty plain — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s usable although the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

    So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does what it says. Anyone who honestly does the maths on paper, try it — saves me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
